Existing members from the 22/23 season can re-join either online (through Clubmate) or by post (to the Membership Secretary) from 1 December 2022. Existing 22/23 members are guaranteed a 23/24 (year ending 31 March 2024) licence as long as they re-join between 1 December 2022 and 29 February 2023. From 1 March 2023 (NOT BEFORE) New members will be able to join and after that date any existing members who have not renewed, will still be able to re-join but that will be on a first come first served basis alongside the New Members. As we wish to minimise pressure on our Waters (& fish) and we are trying to ensure that members have space on our Waters, we will again have a membership limit, slightly increased from 22/23. There are plenty of licences available but please, to ensure existing members are not disappointed, they should re-join in the period 1 December 2022 to 29 February 2023. Members who joined as TAFF ONLY in the last few weeks do not need to do anything as their licence will take them through to 31/3/24. Details of joining information for New Members will be available mid February 2023. These will be in the tackle shops, on our website and emailed out to individuals who have registered as prospective members on Clubmate. Existing members (Only) from the 22/23 season can re-join for the 23/24 season as follows, from 1 December 2022:- Online through Clubmate

Log in to (clubmate.co.uk)
Instructions on how to renew

Online through Clubmate – • Go to https://glamorgananglersclub.clubmate.co.uk • Enter the email address you are registered with, then the password you set up. If you cannot remember your password, click on “forgot password” and a one-time passcode will be sent to your email address (valid for 15 mins) which will enable you to reset to a password of your choosing.

• That will take you into your personal GAC Dashboard. Before you renew, update any personal detail changes.

• On the Dashboard you will see your current membership (usually 3rd icon along) and from 1 December 2022 this will have an orange “Renew” sticker in top right hand corner.

• Click on this membership Icon and you will be shown a selection of licences available for your specific renewal. Click on your choice of the licence you wish to buy for 23/24 and follow the on-screen instructions through to the payment. Very rarely, if you are changing your licence category from 22/23, that you wish to buy for 23/24, you might not see that particular licence. If this happens please email from your comms tab in your Clubmate Profile, your name, your 22/23 licence category (Senior/OAP ect) & the licence category you wish to buy and we will sort the issue out.

• NFG EXISTING MEMBERS ONLY - If you are an existing Night Fishing Group (NFG) member joining online & wish to renew please only click on the Night Fishing Group icon (not on your “normal” membership type) and you will be given a choice of a combined membership & NFG licences. Click on the appropriate choice and follow the on screen instructions. If you are not a member of NFG please email from your Comms tab your wish to join the NFG. You will be put on a waiting list and will be contacted Spring 23 if there are any vacancies, which are likely to be very limited. • Renewals through Clubmate should be straight forward, but as this is only our second year there may still be teething problems, email us any issues preferably from the Comms tab in your Profile and we will deal with the matter.

• Members who purchased Taff only tickets for 22/23 will be also able to re-join from 1 December and will be given the choice of either a straight Taff only renewal or joining as a Full member. By Post to the Membership Secretary - • The last two pages of this Newsletter is the postal application form that you can re-join by completing and posting off to GAC. Please complete carefully and accurately – if you have access to an email address please enter that, as this will enable Club messages to be sent to you.

• Please note our new postal address, Glamorgan Anglers Club, PO Box Number 220, Barry CF63 9FZ. Stamp required

• Existing Members do not need to send a passport style headshot photo with their application. Please Note:- • The River Taff Only season licence purchased through Clubmate for 23/24 will also include the right to fish on the Club stretches of the River Ely and in the designated Cardiff Bay angling locations.

• Any membership queries if you cannot email direct from your personal Comms tab in your Clubmate profile, please email to glamorgananglersclub@clubmate.co.uk or by post to Glamorgan Anglers Club, PO Box 220, Barry CF63 9FZ

Night Group Co-ordinator. BRIAN DICKMAN
Mobile :  07510 223621
E-Mail: nightgroup@glamorgananglersclub.co.uk

Would all members of the clubs Night Fishing Group please be aware that prior to night fishing any Club water, we would ask that you ring the Clubs Night Group Co-ordinator, Brian Dickman on 07510 223621, to advise as to where you intend night fishing and when.

This is not meant to "spy" on anyone, it just gives the Club an idea of who is fishing at night and where, so that Club bailiffs are aware if there is anyone on a certain water at a certain time.

If you do not want to call Brian, you can email: nightgroup@glamorgananglersclub.co.uk This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Night Group Members may also take a guest Night fishing, as long as the Guest is an existing Club member, up to 3 times per season at a cost of £5.00 per guest.

If any member would like to join the Night Fishing Group, please apply in writing to the Membership Secretary
