This years competition was a great success with 11 teams
fishing.
The fishing started slow to begin with only the odd fish showing
around the pond. The anglers on the car park swims were the
first to start catching but it wasn't long before all
competitors began to start hooking into a few fish. The weights
were made up of mostly silver fish, with the winners hooking
into a few carp to tip the scales their way. It was a very hard
fought contest with only 8oz between first and second place.
A great big
thank you from not only the Junior Section, but also from
all the Club members, goes go to Albert Smith who
organizes all the Junior Competitions. Albert works tirelessly
to make sure that the Junior competitions are organized
correctly and gets support from the parents at every
competition.
At the end of
the competition, the Juniors presented Albert with a
Plaque and a Tankard to show their thanks for his hard work.
Thanks also to James Archard who turned up to assist with
weighing the Fish and gave advice to the youngsters.
