Access and Rules for Cadoxton Ponds.

Access to the site and fishing.

1)   Only members of Glamorgan Anglers will be allowed access to, or to fish the lake.
2)   Junior members must be accompanied by an adult club member at all times.
3)   Any members without a rod license or club permit will not be allowed access to the lakes.
4)   Permits will be taken and notes taken of names/numbers etc by Dow Corning Security. You will be given a security tag  and this is to be worn at all times. Any person without a security tag should be challenged and told to leave the site - by you or anyone else, or report them to the security office.
5)   The access gate to the lakes is on the corner of the main road approaching the site security office. [This gate is only temporary and will be replaced by one opposite the car park].
6)   There is a limit of 15 members maximum on the site at any one time. This will be on a first come - first served basis.
7)   Access to the site will only be allowed between the hours of 7am to 7pm . You must be packed up and off site by 7pm.
8) At the end of your fishing period you must exit via the 'entrance' gate and shut this behind you. You should then present your security tag to the security office, sign out and retrieve your permit. The security office shuts at 7pm and you must allow time for this. Any unredeemed permits (i.e. too late) will be returned to the membership secretary and the member will be asked to account for there apparent disregard of rules.

Site Rules and Consideration.

1)   No fires or stoves.
2)   Only members of Glamorgan Anglers will be allowed to fish the lakes. [No friends/visitors].
3)   Junior members must be accompanied by an adult club member at all times.
4)   Site security demands that members should obey any instructions from Dow Corning officials.
5)   Fishing is allowed from the marked swims only.
6)   No person should attempt to fish from or disturb wildlife in the reed bed conservation areas.
7)   Barb-less hooks only.
8)   A maximum of 3kg of ground bait [including all particles, maggots etc].
9)   It is advised that no fish over 3lb be retained in keep nets [except during formal club matches].
10) No large Carp are to be retained in nets or sacks. Such action will be construed as an attempt to steal fish and the person will be dealt with accordingly.
11) Bar the exceptions noted - All normal club rules apply. [Read your permit].
12) No fish are to be transferred from one lake to the other under any circumstances. [Club stocking procedures excepted].
13) Take a bag with you. Inspect your swim before you fish and remove any, and all, litter, old tackle etc before you start to fish and at the end of your session check that you have not left any litter - this includes cigarette ends etc !!! Failure to do so will result in a club ban.
14) Alcohol is not permitted on any part of Dow Corning land and this includes the lakes area. No one will be allowed onto the land if deemed to be intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol/drugs etc.
